Castlehowe Scar Stone Circle

Near Shap, Penrith

This small stone circle is in a field next to the minor road from Shap to Crosby Ravensworth. Castlehowe Scar is a small (no more than 7m in diameter) stone circle of local Shap granite set in a ring measuring 7 metres from north to south, and 6 metres east to west.
