Cumbrian winners at the 2023 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence

Six Cumbrian firms have been named among the best in the country at the 2023 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.  The prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence have been running for more than 30 years.  The winners were announced at a glittering ceremony held in London on June 7.

• GOLD for Askham Hall Small Hotel of the Year
• GOLD for The Quiet Site Camping, Glamping, and Holiday Park of the Year
• GOLD for Guide over Sands Trust Michael Wilson, Official Guide to the Kent Estuary: Unsung Hero Award
• SILVER for Bassenthwaite Lake Station New Tourism Business of the Year category
• SILVER for Shed One, Ulverston Experience of the Year category
• SILVER for Muncaster Castle Attraction of the Year category
• SILVER for Cedar Manor B&B and Guest House of the Year category
