Eden District Council shows its support and recognition of the Eden Visitor Economy
Production of the 2021 Eden Visitor guide is now underway. Eden District Council is demonstrating its huge commitment to the districts visitor economy by offering all Eden 2020 guide advertisers a free like for like entry into the 2021 guide. The Council will also be able to offer a subsidy to new Eden guide advertisers offering a free line entry and 25% discount (first come first served basis) on the cost of a display advert.
Councillor Mary Robinson the Portfolio Holder for the Economy and Enterprise confirmed, “We fully recognise the value of our tourism businesses here in Eden and the enormous contribution they make to our economy. We understand that the challenges and pressures are unprecedented as we move into the winter season and 2021 and we felt by taking this action we are actively assisting in business recovery planning.”
The Eden Tourism Team will be working with Bucket and Spade to produce the 2021 guide. The publication will highlight the amazing outdoor offer in terms of the variety of the countryside, the range of attractions and activities and the wonderful warm Eden hospitality and welcome. Joint Eden Tourism Manger, Jessica Goodfellow commented “We have been incredibly impressed with the resilience and adaptability of our tourism businesses and the tremendous efforts they have made to offer the visitor a Covid secure experience.”
