Penrith chippy nominated for Fish and Chip Takeaway of the Year

Penrith's Angel Lane Chippie has been shortlisted - as one of 40 in the UK and the only one in Cumbria - to earn the title of Fish and Chip Takeaway of the year at the 2024 The National Fish and Chip Awards.

Earlier this year, owner Dan Harding was also recognised for his outstanding contribution to the local community by being awarded an Inspiring Eden Award by Eden District Council. 

In January, the chippie's van, also run by the team, was named as a top five finalist, for the Mobile category at the Fish and Chip Awards 2023.
