The value of Eden’s Tourism Economy rises to £336.6m

The most recent economic analysis of Eden's tourism industry shows that this sector demonstrated an 8.8% increase in visitor spend. 

This reveals that tourism is now worth a massive £336.6m to the local economy.

Eden welcomed 4.998 million visitors (4.7% increase on the previous year).

Tourism activity supported 4,472 full time equivalent jobs which increased by 4.4% from 2016.

The fantastic product offer we have for the visitors in Eden is reflected by the investment and dynamism of the tourism businesses in our area.  The continued growth in the value of tourism to the local economy bears testament to the positive relationship Eden Tourism has with its businesses and the joint projects we jointly undertake.
