Dawdles and 'Legstretcher' walks in Kirkby Stephen
‘Dawdles’ walks are short guided strolls taking place every Thursday morning, starting from the Market Square in Kirkby Stephen.
‘Legstretchers’ are longer walks in the surrounding area, once a month on a Friday. Both are organised by the Walkers are Welcome group.

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks
Ramblers Wellbeing Walks are free, short walks that take place all across England. They’re designed to help you take the first step towards better health, wellbeing and happiness – and with hundreds of walks happening every week, you’re sure to find one right on your doorstep.
There’s no need to book or plan a route. All you need to do is pull on your shoes and join!
Lake District National Park
The Lake District National Park run a series of free guided walks in a variety of different areas in Eden.
Settle - Carlisle Railway
The Friends of the Settle - Carlisle Railway Line arrange free guided walks from Armathwaite, Lazonby, Appleby and Kirkby Stephen stations along the scenic railway line
The Friends of Dales Rail also offer guided walks from the Leeds-Settle to Carlisle Railway.
Blue Badge Guides
