• Save the date! We’re planning a Leaflet Swap and Networking event in 2025 with Hutton in the Forest.  The event will take place on Wednesday 19th March, 1pm to 3pm (drop in) at Hutton in the Forest, near Penrith.  Watch this space for more information.
  
  

• FREE standard entry in the ‘Where to Stay’ section of the Visit Eden website for Eden accommodation 
  
  
• AA and VisitEngland assessment scheme modernisation (2024) The current classification schemes have changed to a much simpler format and structure to ensure quality assurance remains best in class. This includes a brand new entry-level scheme called Visitor Ready.
  
  
• A new county-wide destination management plan (DMP) has been unveiled, to help build a successful visitor economy for the future (April 2024)
  
  
• VisitEngland launches its new ‘Accessible and Inclusive Toolkit for Tourism Businesses’ in England on 3 December 2023
  
  
• New fire safety guidance came into force on 1 October 2023 - for all small paying guest accommodation including Airbnb, glamping pods, B&B, self-catering etc.
