Kirkby Stephen - Upper Eden Visitor Centre
The Upper Eden Visitor Centre (formerly Kirkby Stephen TIC) is a community run enterprise based in the middle of Kirkby Stephen, offering advice on local walks, attractions, travel information, local accommodation providers, computer use, supply Disability Rights UK National Key Scheme Keys (keys for accessible toilets), and much much more.
We also host local producers at the centre and have an exciting selection of locally produced stock on our shelves. Please do call in and say 'hello' if you are passing.
Kirkby Stephen is an ancient market town of in the Upper Eden Valley. It enjoys an enviable position between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. The town was Cumbria's first 'Walkers are Welcome' town and has won the title of Calor® 'English Village of the Year'.

Opening times:
- Summer opening times (1st April to 31st October) Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and
Sunday 10am to 4pm. - Winter opening times (1st November to 31st March) Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 3pm and Sunday 11am to 3pm (November and December only).
Christmas and New Year Opening: Please check with the Visitor Centre for Christmas opening times.
