Pooley Bridge is a little lakeland village positioned at the north eastern end of lake Ullswater. The village is built around a 16th century stone bridge which crosses the River Eamont and was once a very important market town for the region. Pooley Bridge Information Point is operated by Ullswater 'Steamers'.
