Nenthead 200

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the planning of the village of Nenthead by the London Lead Company, and the North Pennines National Landscape team are working with the local community to throw a weekend-long event to celebrate.

Description

During the 19th century the London Lead Company was prolific in the North Pennines lead mining industry and was particularly influential in planning and building the village of Nenthead. The Nenthead200 celebration weekend, on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August, will take the form of a traditional village fair and with music, an evening dinner, a barn dance, games and activities, and more.
