Paint Print Stitch 'In Nature' - with Kay Leech

A lovely day with Kay Leech, being guided through the process of creating using paint, print and then stitch.

Description

Working in mixed media you will create a picture based on flowers, you can bring your own image or use one of the ones provided for inspiration. You will paint the background directly onto a base fabric and then add layers with simple stencils and print blocks that you have created. Finally you will add stitch which can be by machine and/or hand embroidered and embellished with beads and buttons. The finished piece will be 30cmx30cm which will fit into a standard 40cmx40cm frame. Kay's work centres on textured pieces using paint, print and collage coupled with hand and machine embroidery with stitch on textiles. Please note there will be a materials charge of £15, payable directly to the tutor on the day.
